
Associate Medical Director, Wellness & Mental Health
Dr. Vivian Sapirman, MD, MA, FRCPC, is a nationally recognized psychiatrist and the Associate Medical Director of Mental Health at Teladoc Health Canada, where she leads strategy, innovation, and quality in virtual mental health care. With over 15 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience, she has held key roles at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, and the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining Teladoc Health, Dr. Sapirman served in various leadership roles, including as Mental Health Physician Lead at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and as Medical Advisor to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. She continues to provide psychiatric care at Women's College Hospital, as well as in corporate settings in the areas of disability management and occupational psychiatry. She holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, where she lectures in the Department of Psychiatry and supervises postgraduate trainees.
Dr. Sapirman is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and holds an M.D. from McMaster University, along with graduate training in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Toronto. A respected clinical leader and educator, she has developed mental health curricula, led national training programs, and contributed to system-level improvements in psychiatric care.
Known for her thoughtful leadership, deep clinical expertise, and commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Sapirman is shaping the future of mental health delivery in Canada through her role at Teladoc Health Canada.
