Dr. Rafael Aroutiunian serves as Associate Medical Director, Virtual Acute & Emergency Care at Teladoc Health Canada, where he leads clinical strategy, governance, and quality oversight for high-acuity digital health services.
With over a decade of experience as an emergency physician, Dr. Aroutiunian bridges frontline emergency medicine with digital health innovation. He collaborates closely with operational, product, and technology teams to translate complex clinical and regulatory requirements into safe, scalable virtual care pathways, with a strong focus on quality of care and patient safety.
In parallel with his clinical leadership, Dr. Aroutiunian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGill University. He is an active faculty member contributing to medical education, research, and the advancement of healthcare informatics.
