Head of Legal

As Head of Legal for Teladoc Health Canada, Megan leads Canada’s Legal and Privacy function and serves as strategic counsel to the organization to enable growth, uphold operational integrity, and manage enterprise risk. Her mandate includes Privacy, Corporate Governance, Commercial Contracting, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Government Affairs, and Ethics.

Megan brings deep expertise in corporate/commercial, healthcare regulatory, and privacy law, with extensive experience advising organizations across the healthcare and life sciences sectors, including public healthcare organizations, medical device and pharmaceutical companies, health research organizations, and digital health innovators. Prior to joining Teladoc Health Canada, she built a health-focused business law practice at Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP, a leading global law firm, and held senior leadership roles at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and its affiliated Research Institute, where she supported complex healthcare operations, research, innovation, and major capital initiatives.

Megan holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, where she was recognized for excellence in advocacy and awarded a fellowship for her human rights work in Cambodia. She has also completed specialized studies in International Law, Executive Leadership (Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College), Health Law (Osgoode Hall Law School, York University), and Governance (Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, in partnership with the Institute of Corporate Directors).

She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and Women General Counsel Canada, and is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C).

In addition to her role at Teladoc Health Canada, Megan sits on the Board of Directors of Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre, one of Canada’s largest and most comprehensive community health centres. She lives in Ottawa, Ontario, with her husband and two children.
