Associate Medical Director, Technology & Innovation

Dr. Harmon Fong, MD, CCFP (EM), FCFP, is an emergency physician with more than a decade of front-line clinical experience spanning in-person and virtual emergency care. Based in Oakville, Ontario, he practices with Halton Healthcare and has played leadership roles in advancing digital health initiatives and technology-enabled care across emergency medicine settings. He also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University, where he contributes to the education and mentorship of medical students and residents.

Dr. Fong earned his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario and completed his enhanced skills certification in Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM) through Dalhousie University. He is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (FCFP), recognizing his ongoing commitment to leadership, education, and clinical excellence.

Throughout his career, Dr. Fong has maintained a strong interest in the intersection of clinical care, workflow design, and emerging technology. His work has focused on improving patient access, supporting physician efficiency, optimizing emergency department operations, and helping translate practical frontline needs into scalable healthcare solutions.

As Associate Medical Director, Technology & Innovation at Teladoc Health Canada, Dr. Fong helps guide the evaluation, implementation, and clinical adoption of innovative technologies across the organization. His work includes supporting physician enablement, advancing AI-assisted clinical workflows, and helping bridge operational, product, and frontline clinical perspectives. He has been actively involved in the assessment and implementation of technologies such as AI documentation tools and virtual care workflows, with a focus on ensuring that innovation remains practical, scalable, and clinically meaningful.
